The bookmobile maintains a regular schedule of stops in the following communities: Auxvasse, Hallsville, Harrisburg, Holts Summit, Rocheport, Sturgeon and Columbia.

Bookmobile, Jr.

Our smaller bookmobile primarily serves youth, their families and their educators. Bookmobile, Jr. makes regularly scheduled stops at community centers around Columbia and rural licensed child care centers throughout our two-county service area. From story times and library card registration to help finding that perfect book, bookmobile staff enjoy sharing a love of reading beyond the library walls.

You can request either of our two bookmobiles to make an appearance at your school or community event. Each vehicle comes loaded with books, music CDs, DVDs and more. We recommend that you contact us four weeks in advance about visiting your school or organization, as we consider requests in order of submission.

Deliveries to Homes, Retirement Centers and Jails

A library staff member will deliver library materials to senior citizen's homes and the residences of people of any age who have a long term illness or disability. In addition, deliveries are made to locations such as retirement homes, senior centers, food banks and jails.

The Outreach Department also works as a liaison with Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library. Contact us for help using this service.
